2004-7-27 Error on the site, and registration-free EHC

Hi again !

Sorry for writing so fast after the last mail, but I received a few mails back that there was an error on the site, making it impossible to re-activate the draw.

I have fixed the bug, and if you were unsuccessfull in re-activating it yesterday then you can do it now.

A big thank you goes out to those of you who sent me suggestions for improvements on the site. I have just added a link on all pages to a registration-free version of EHC... That's a fully-functional full version that works for 30 days... So all you demo-users: Get rid of the nag-screen for 30 days. After 30 days you can renew subscription for 30 days at a time for just $3, or buy the full version... Or of course go back to the demo you have now :)

If any of you have more suggestions, please let me know.

2004-7-7 Leaving for denmark

Hi all !

This is just a quick mail to let you know that I'll be in Denmark for the next months. As usual I will take care of everything from there, but please have a bit more patience when sending mail, waiting for referral-commision etc.
It will take me a bit longer, and depending on my work-schedule which i don't know yet, there may be times when it'll be several days or maybe even a week between my chances to get to the computer.

Thank you for your understanding, please remember that I simply don't make enough money selling EHC, therefore it is nescessary for me to go... You can help me avoid this in the future by telling your friends what a great program EHC is.

Hi everyone !

I write you for two reasons:
I would like to urge all of you to visit the new site (which is coming along nicely) at http://www.oz-coding.com/ and post your comments on what you think of it, and also please post your thoughts of EHC itself. You can post a comment for each page, or directly to the message board found in the menu under [more pages]... oh and please someone, post a reply to the last comment on http://www.oz-coding.com/demo.asp

The second reason for this mail is that I still don't get much sales.
So people: Please send some visitors, remember that I give you 50% of anything I receive from someone you refer !
And finally: If you are a marketing genius, please let me know if something is completely wrong with the site.
If you think you can really do something for me with regards to getting more sales, then we can of cause work out some "extra bonus" in addition to the referral commision you will earn.
I just don't see why people wont buy a product that nearly all current users love.

2004-5-30 Problems with transfer

I am very sorry if you have received this by email more than once, there has been some problems during the trasfer of the database, passwords where randomly generated for those users that did not have one already, and running the script multiple times resulted in a lot of people receiving invalid passwords.

I'm seing some very weird stuff here at the server, and it's completely impossible for me to actually get this mail out to everybody. I will change my host soon, and problems will be over. For now please use the reminders section to get your password.

A lot has changed since the last update. OZ-coding.com has changed, from now on there is one database, no seperate logins, a cleaner webpage, and alltogether a completely new site. Your new log-in details are below, log in to change anything you like.

There has also been a lot of changes made to EHC itself. Mostly minor bug-fixes, but I have also been working on security, I have added an SRK-feature, and passphrases are now saved encrypted into a picture file, using your harddisks serial as the password. This makes it almost impossible to crack, I would say that you're actually more secure saving your passphrase now than entering it each time, simply because no keylogger can fetch it if you don't enter it. And use the SRK for ultimate security.

This update has been on the way for a long time, and quite frankly I don't remember the first few changes I made. but there are a lot of changes.

I have decided to discontinue the first version. That obviously also means that EHC 2 is out of beta, so feel free to complain if there's still problems :)

Your referral links have changed, but all old links will still work for a while. Hopefully it will be more rewarding to be an affiliate from this point on. Referrals are no longer tracked with a cookie alone, instead once they sign up they're yours, even if they only sign up for the weekly draw, and anytime in the future that they choose to buy EHC you will get credited.

The site isn't completely complete yet, for example I want to add optional audio to many pages, but it is a lot more 'to-the-point' than the old one, hopefully visitors will get a better overview, which in turn wil result in better conversion rates.

OZ-coding.com has also been accepted into the GDCA, which should result in more trusting visitors.

You no longer have a direct download link, but instead download from the members area. And I _finally_ finished the automatic resending of log-in details :)

Make sure to uninstall any previous version of EHC or EHHC before installing the new one. Your settings and filters will still be there if you install to the same path (and if not you can just move the files manually)

I will be going away for a week or so, and after that I'll be back to fix any problems there might be with the new EHC or the new website. There is bound to be some when so many changes are made at once, testing has gone fine though.
